Overview

See your Meta (Facebook + Instagram) ad performance alongside your Shopify revenue. Hazel pulls in your campaign data so you can ask about spend, ROAS, and performance without ever opening Ads Manager.

What Hazel pulls

Once you connect Meta Ads, Hazel has access to:
  • Ad accounts, campaigns, ad sets, and ads — your full account structure with status and settings
  • Spend — daily and lifetime spend at every level
  • ROAS — return on ad spend (how much revenue you generate per dollar spent on ads)
  • CPM, CPC, and CPA — cost per thousand impressions, cost per click, and cost per acquisition
  • Platform and device breakdowns — performance across Facebook vs Instagram and across desktop vs mobile

How to connect

Find Meta Ads in the Hazel marketplace and click the + button. You’ll sign in through Meta in a popup window — make sure you use an account that has access to the ad accounts you want to analyze. What you’ll need: A Meta Business Manager account with access to your ad accounts. If you work with an agency, make sure they’ve granted your account the right permissions before connecting.

Example questions you can ask

Once your Meta Ads data is connected, try questions like these:
  • “What’s our Meta ROAS this month?”
  • “Which campaigns have ROAS above 3x?”
  • “Show me spend and revenue by campaign for the last 30 days”
  • “Compare our Facebook vs Instagram ad performance”
  • “Which ad sets have the highest CPA?”
  • “How has our Meta spend trended over the last quarter?”

Good to know

You’ll need Meta Business Manager access to connect. If you work with an agency, make sure they’ve granted your account the right permissions.
  • Data includes both Facebook and Instagram — you can analyze them together or separately.
  • Pair with Shopify to compare Meta-reported ROAS against actual Shopify revenue for a more accurate picture.
  • Your data refreshes every 4 hours automatically.
