Overview

Fairing captures post-purchase survey responses — the “How did you hear about us?” question and more. Connect it to Hazel to compare what customers say with what your ad platforms report, and get a clearer picture of what’s actually driving sales.

What Hazel pulls

Once you connect Fairing, Hazel has access to:
  • Survey responses — answers to every survey question you’ve asked
  • Attribution answers — responses to “How did you hear about us?” and similar discovery questions
  • NPS scores — Net Promoter Score data (a measure of how likely customers are to recommend you, on a scale of 0-10)
  • Custom question responses — answers to any custom questions you’ve added to your surveys

How to connect

Find Fairing in the Hazel marketplace and click the + button. You’ll need to paste your Fairing API key. What you’ll need: Your Fairing API key, found in your Fairing account settings.

Example questions you can ask

Once your Fairing data is connected, try questions like these:
  • “What are customers saying about how they found us?”
  • “Show me our NPS score trend”
  • “Compare Fairing attribution data to ad platform reported data”
  • “What percentage of customers say they found us through a friend?”
  • “How has our NPS changed over the last 6 months?”
  • “Which acquisition channels do first-time buyers report most often?”

Troubleshooting

If you see an error when pasting your Fairing API key, reach out to your Hazel team via your shared Slack channel. We’ll work directly with the Fairing team to refresh your API token and get you connected.

Good to know

Attribution comparison is one of the most powerful uses of Fairing data. Compare what customers tell you (survey responses) with what ad platforms claim (click-based attribution) to understand where your money is really working.
  • NPS stands for Net Promoter Score. It measures how likely customers are to recommend you, on a scale of 0-10. Scores of 9-10 are “promoters,” 7-8 are “passives,” and 0-6 are “detractors.”
  • Pair with Shopify and your ad platforms for the most complete attribution picture.
  • Your data refreshes every 4 hours automatically.
