Overview
Google Search Console shows how your site performs in Google search results. Connect it to Hazel to track your organic search visibility — which keywords you rank for, which pages get the most clicks, and where you have room to grow. What Hazel pulls
Once you connect Google Search Console, Hazel has access to:- Keyword performance — search terms that trigger your site, with impressions, clicks, CTR, and average position
- Page performance — which pages on your site get the most search traffic
- Site-level metrics — overall search visibility and click trends
- Sitemap status — indexing health of your site
How to connect
Find Google Search Console in the Hazel marketplace and click the + button. You’ll sign in through Google in a popup window — use the account that has access to your Search Console property. What you’ll need: A Google account with access to your Search Console property.Example questions you can ask
Once your Google Search Console data is connected, try questions like these:- “What are our top keywords by clicks this month?”
- “Which pages have high impressions but low CTR? (Opportunities to improve title tags)”
- “How has our organic search traffic trended over the last 90 days?”
- “What new keywords are we starting to rank for?”
- “Show me our average position for branded vs non-branded keywords”
- “Which pages have the most search impressions?”
Good to know
Google Search Console data has a 2-3 day reporting delay — this is a Google limitation, not a Hazel one. The most recent data available is typically from 2-3 days ago.
- Some search terms are redacted by Google and show as “(not provided)” — this is standard Google behavior to protect user privacy.
- Pair with Google Analytics to connect organic search performance to on-site behavior and conversions.
- Your data refreshes automatically.
