# Recharge Analytics: Subscription and Churn Data

> Recharge subscription data — charges, churn reasons, and subscriber lifecycle — synced to Hazel for cohort retention and MRR trend analytics.

## Overview

Recharge is the leading subscription management platform for Shopify brands. Connect it to Hazel to understand your subscription business — active subscribers, churn trends, revenue from recurring orders, and what's driving cancellations.

## What Hazel pulls

Once you connect Recharge, Hazel has access to:

* **Subscriptions** — every subscription with status, cadence (weekly, monthly, etc.), pricing, and lifecycle events
* **Charges** — billing events including successful charges, failed charges, and skipped charges
* **Customers** — subscriber profiles with payment methods and addresses
* **Cancellation reasons** — why subscribers cancel, including any comments they leave
* **Bundles** — bundle subscription structure and item selections
* **Status history** — how subscriptions change over time (active → paused → cancelled, product swaps, price changes)

## How to connect

Find Recharge in the [Hazel marketplace](https://app.fromhazel.ai/integrations/marketplace?search=recharge) and click the **+** button. You'll need to paste your Recharge API token.

**What you'll need:** Your Recharge API token, found in your Recharge admin under API tokens.

## Example questions you can ask

Once your Recharge data is connected, try questions like these:

* "How many active subscriptions do we have?"
* "What's our subscription churn rate this month?"
* "What are the top reasons people cancel their subscriptions?"
* "Show me MRR trend over the last 6 months"
* "What's the average subscription lifetime before cancellation?"
* "Which products have the highest subscription retention rate?"
* "How many subscriptions were paused vs cancelled last month?"

## Good to know

* Pair with Shopify to see how subscription revenue compares to one-time purchases.
* **Bundle subscriptions** are tracked separately — Hazel knows which subscriptions are bundles so your counts stay accurate.
* Subscription status changes (paused, swapped, cancelled) are tracked over time, so you can analyze the full lifecycle.
* Your data refreshes roughly every 6 hours.
